15h00 : Guided tour – The Roman Villa in Echternach
FR/EN/NL
On the outskirts of the town of Echternach is located one of the largest and richest estates of the north-western provinces of the Roman Empire. The completely excavated manor house with its well-preserved basements, cellars and ornamental pond is very like a palace. More than 70 medicinal and ornamental plants as well as a pergola covered with vines are displayed in a Roman garden. The visitor centre provides a clear and vivid picture of everyday life in the manor of the Roman villa.
